The SolarWinds TFTP server application is an example of one such application that gives you the ability to upload files to and download files from your remote computer systems and servers. It operates on many different ports and has additional capabilities such as TFTP, SCP and supports multiple and concurrent transfers. It has some security features built in, such as IP range while listing, and it can run as a service so that it is less obtrusive and is out of the way. This is a stripped down and minimalist application that has very little in the way of additional features. This makes it a good choice for basic TFTP transfers, but if you are thinking about using it in an enterprise environment then you would probably be better served looking elsewhere. TFTP is another free project that is open source. It also has additional features such as DHCP, DNS and syslog functionality. The TFTP features are very straight forward as it offers 4GB file transfers on file size, IP address restrictive capabilities, Allow and Deny specific functions such as send and receive, more than one transfer at a time, and windows service capabilities.
